RAHYA JEWELRY DESIGN
Launched in 2011, Rahya Jewelry Design was created with the strong influence of nature and organic form. Rahya's unique vision and strong aesthetic is translated into each Collection. Influenced by mid-century modern design, her jewelry captures timeless composition, and celebrates simplicity and integration with nature.
Educated as a bench jeweler, Rahya received her BFA in Metals and Jewelry from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She also studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City and The Art Institute of Chicago.
Originally born and raised in New Orleans, her childhood and background nurtured her passion for design. Attending New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Rahya was immersed in an environment bursting with like-minded artists. At home, her mother an accomplished architect, and her father a skillfully handy businessman, fostered a creative culture.
Rahya Jewelry Design was created for the modern, minimal and elegant woman in mind. With this aesthetic, the collection is accentuated by timeless, yet relevant style. The collection is thoughtfully designed with the highest standard of craftsmanship and carefully finished by hand. Every piece of jewelry in the Collection is designed and handmade in the Austin, Texas, studio. Beginning from sketches by hand, each piece is then either drawn into a 3D printing program or carved by hand in casting wax. Finally each piece is cast in brass and carefully plated in 14k yellow gold or silver-rhodium.
